Account Settings

Manage your account information, notification preferences, and security settings. The settings page provides simple controls for updating your profile, choosing how you receive notifications, and managing your password.

Settings are organized into three main sections: Profile for your basic account information, Notifications for email preferences, and Security for password management. Changes are saved when you click the save button in each section.

Accessing Settings

Navigate to Settings from your dashboard sidebar. Settings are organized into three tabs: Profile, Notifications, and Security. Changes are saved when you click the save button in each section.

Profile Information

The Profile tab contains your basic account information and personal details. You can update most of these fields, though your email address cannot be changed once your account is created. The profile section includes fields for your name, website, business information, role, location, and timezone preferences.

Profile Fields

Your profile includes your full name, email address (read-only), website URL, business name, your role or job title, location, and timezone setting. The timezone setting affects how dates and times are displayed in your analytics and billing information. You can also see when your account was created at the bottom of the profile section.

Changes to your profile information are saved when you click the "Save Changes" button. If you change your name, the page will refresh to update the sidebar display. Other changes are applied immediately without requiring a page refresh.

Security & Password

The Security tab shows your current sign-in method and allows you to change your password if you signed up with email and password. If you signed in with Google or GitHub, you'll see information about your external account and won't be able to change your password through APIVerve.

Sign-in Methods

The security section displays how you signed in to your account - either with email and password, Google, or GitHub. If you used an external provider like Google or GitHub, you'll see a note explaining that password changes must be made through that provider's account settings. A direct link to the appropriate account management page is provided for convenience.

Password Changes

If you signed up with email and password, you can change your password by entering your current password and a new password that meets the security requirements. The form includes real-time validation showing whether your new password meets the requirements for length, uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers. You must confirm your new password before the change can be saved.

Notification Preferences

The Notifications tab lets you control which email notifications you receive from APIVerve. There are four types of notifications you can enable or disable using toggle switches. These settings control only email notifications - there are no in-app notifications or other notification channels available.

Email Notification Types

You can control four types of email notifications: Partner Communication includes messages from APIVerve partners and integrations. Product Updates covers new features, API updates, and service announcements. Feedback and Research includes surveys, feedback requests, and research opportunities. BETA Features gives you access to beta features and early releases when they become available.

Each notification type has a toggle switch that you can turn on or off based on your preferences. Changes are saved when you click the "Save Preferences" button. The settings apply to all email communications from APIVerve and its partners.

Getting Help with Settings

If you have trouble with any of the settings or encounter issues saving your changes, make sure your browser allows cookies and JavaScript for the dashboard. Most setting changes are saved immediately when you click the save button, but name changes require a page refresh to update the sidebar display.

Common Issues

If settings aren't saving, try refreshing the page and attempting the change again. Make sure you're clicking the save button after making changes - changes aren't saved automatically. For password changes, ensure your new password meets all the requirements shown below the password field. If you're having trouble with notification emails, check your spam folder and add APIVerve to your trusted senders list.

Account Deletion

If you need to delete your APIVerve account, you can request account deletion through our support system. We process deletion requests manually to ensure account security and prevent accidental deletions.

How to Request Account Deletion

To request account deletion:

  1. Click Support in the left sidebar of your dashboard, or go directly to dashboard.apiverve.com/support
  2. Select Account as the issue type
  3. Enter "Account Deletion Request" as the subject
  4. In the message, confirm that you want to permanently delete your account
  5. Submit the request

Our support team will verify your request and process the deletion. You'll receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.

What Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following will be permanently removed:

  • Your account profile and all personal information
  • All API keys (they will stop working immediately)
  • Usage history and analytics data
  • Billing history and payment method information
  • Any active subscriptions will be cancelled
This Action is Permanent

Account deletion cannot be undone. Once processed, all API keys associated with your account will stop working immediately. Any applications or integrations using your API keys will lose access. If you want to use APIVerve again in the future, you'll need to create a new account.

Before You Delete

If you're considering deletion due to an issue with the service, we'd love the opportunity to help. Reach out through the same support channel and let us know what's wrong - we may be able to resolve your concerns.
